Duties and responsibilities:A radiation therapist primarily works with patients being treated for cancer.A radiation therapist uses beams of radiated light to locate and treat cancerous tumors according to the plan prescribed by a radiologist and oncologist. She or he records a patient's medical information, locates tumors using x-rays and develops treatment plans within the guidelines.
Salary: $69,344-$85,649
Education: 2- or 4-year program in radiation therapy,degree in radiography. Associate's degree.
Demand for this profession: Radiation therapist are needed because they know how to find tumors on patients and help them.
Reflection: No I would not like to be one because that is said having to tell your patients that they have a tumor.
