I.            Veterans  day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.

                              II.            Veterans day is on November 11.

                            III.            In the USA, Veterans Day annually falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.

                            IV.            Veterans Day is a time when Americans honor those who have served in the U.S. Military—a time to express gratitude to those who have made great sacrifices to preserve our freedom. Honor American Heroes.

                              V.            Say “thank you.”  It’s such a small, simple gesture that is completely disproportionate to the sacrifice soldiers make for us, but they really do appreciate it.  When you see a soldier or veteran eating at a restaurant, discretely tell the waiter/waitress that you’d like to pick up the tab for them. Fly a flag.

                        VIII.            Throughout the research for Veterans Day, I feel that it did deserve to be a holiday so people can realize what our brave Veterans did to fight for our country. Veterans were willing to risk their lives for us and our country. I think we should take time on Veterans Day to appreciate these Veterans. They’ve done so much for us that we should show respect to them as showing honor.  Also showing respect for those families who has lost their sons in the war. I would really like to thank these Veterans for fighting for our country. The least we can do is pray for those who lost during the war and congratulate those who survived the war. Without them fighting for us, who knows what can happen to our country. These brave Veterans deserve to be shown respect not only on Veterans day but every day.
